Our Honey-Processed coffee comes from Costa Rica Sonora. The Costa Rica Sonora is a Honey Natural blend: 50% black honey processed coffee and 50% natural processed coffee. The term “honey-processed” can be a bit misleading. The flavor of honey is not a part of the flavor notes nor is honey used in the process. Black honey process means that the coffee beans were processed with 100% of the mucilage (sometimes called “honey” because of its stickiness) still intact. This particular process yields a sweet and fruity coffee bean.
